Vessel Walkthrough
283 Release from Grady-White is an offshore-oriented center console based on the hull of the time-tested 282 Sailfish. The interior is a stepped-up version of the 273 Release.
The bow seating arrangement includes storage-locker seats with a cockpit-level walkway in the center. An optional insert creates a casting deck with room beneath for a cooler or castnet bucket.
The leaning post contains a 45-gallon live well equipped with a light and full-column aeration, a rigging station, sink and abundant tackle storage. In the transom there’s a 265-quart fishbox with overboard drain flanked by a serious transom door. Under-gunwale rod storage includes Grady’s lockable compartment system that provides total security. Two additional insulated, in-deck 135-quart fishboxes lie to port and starboard.
At the command station, electronics are contained in an enclosure that can be raised out of the console for full visibility, or lowered out of sight for security and protection from the elements.
