Description

Classic Sea Ray 280 Sundancer with loads of recent maintenance and upgrades. She sports two new outdrives; one installed in 2020 and the other in early 2021. Both bellows also replaced this year as well as risers/manifold/water pump & thermostat on the starboard side. Fresh bottom paint in 2020 and new canvas too! She even has a custom 10" thick mattress in the berth for extra comfy nights aboard and new Fusion sound with Bluetooth capability. Current owner has had her for the past five years and does all fluids and filters each fall before storage. He even upgraded the anchor, chain and rode before this season to make sure she doesn't drag when anchoring. She's in the slip and ready and waiting for your late summer and early fall boating adventures.

Those looking for a versatile pocket cruiser will find much to like in the 280 Sundancer. Sea Ray hit all the right buttons with the 280: terrific styling, top-shelf amenities, and a well-appointed interior with comfortable accommodations for six. Beginning with her spacious single-level cockpit with wet bar, portside lounger, and transom door, the stern bench seat folds out of the way when not needed and the rear-facing bench seat converts to a sun lounge. A centerline companionway leads to the 280's cherry-trimmed interior with U-shaped dinette to port, full-service galley opposite, convertible V-berth forward (with removable table), and a compact head/shower to starboard. Privacy curtains separate both sleeping areas from the salon. An extended swim platform was standard and a convenient storage locker is built into the transom. Molded steps in the sliding companionway door provide quick bow access via the walk-thru windshield. On the downside, the mid-cabin berth is a tight fit for adults and the engine compartment hatch is heavy. Built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, twin 220hp MerCruiser sterndrives, the 280 Sundancer will cruise at 24-26 knots (about 40 knots top).

Scott MacDonald brings a lifetime of boating experience, plus a passion for fishing to our Grasonville office at Mears Point North Marina in Kent Narrows Maryland. He loves to fish whether it’s chasing native brook trout in Vermont, enticing pickerel out of the weed beds, watching smallmouth hammer a topwater bait with early morning mist on the water or seeing a blue marlin slam a marlin magic lure on a long center rigger.  He’s been offshore enough to have the scars but never seems to get enough of that endless blue water.
