BENETEAU 373 - COOL BREEZE - WALKTHROUGH

COCKPIT:


The spacious cockpit features seating for 9, including twin stern rail seats (one not installed). The helm features a unique leather wrapped destroyer wheel that pivots 90 degrees, allowing ease of movement around the cockpit when at anchor or dock side. The helm is completed by a magnetic compass, Raymarine instrumentation, autopilot, VHF radio, and engine controls. A folding table and cup holder are mounted on the front of helm pedestal. Stereo speakers are found under the aft seating. The engine control panel and a manual bilge pump are mounted on the starboard side.


The helmsman’s seat folds down to port to reveal a deck level walkthrough to the swim platform, where a swim ladder, deck shower and shore power sockets are found.


Two Lewmar 48 2-Speed self-tailing winches for foresail trim are mounted on the cockpit coamings. Two additional Lewmar 30 2-Speed self-tailing winches for running rigging trim are cabin top mounted on either side of the salon companionway.


Storage lockers are found at the transom, port and starboard and undeath the starboard seating. The propane locker is on the port side aft.


The cockpit is protected from the sun and sea by a dodger and Bimini.


TOPSIDES:


Moving forward the deck is protected by stainless steel stern and bow rails connected by dual lifelines running the length of the deck; stainless steel gates are found at the cockpit. Teak hand holds run along the cabin top, port and starboard. An anchor locker is found at the bow along with a bow mounted plow anchor. The Lewmar electric windless is mounted in the anchor locker along with a wash down spigot. A Dorade vent is center mounted on the cabin top and cleats are found at the bow, midships and at the stern.


The dual spreader, masthead rig features a roller furled headsail and in mast furled main sail with a mechanical boom vang. The main sheet is mounted on the cabin top and all running rigging leads aft to the cockpit. SALON: Appointed with cherry joinery, a teak and holly sole, overhead hatches, windows and portlights, the roomy salon is warm, bright and inviting.


Entering the salon from the cockpit the galley is found to port and the head to starboard. The aft cabin is accessed through the aft bulkhead on the port side and the forward cabin through forward bulkhead. Seating is provided by a U shaped settee on the port side and a straight settee to starboard. The nav station is found on the starboard side aft. A large table is mounted on the mast and can be lowered to create a double berth. Hand holds, fans, reading lamps and 120 vac outlets are found on the port and starboard sides. A flatscreen TV and a ship’s clock, barometer, clinometer, thermometer and hygrometer are mounted on the forward bulkhead. Finally stereo speakers are overhead mounted by the forward bulkhead.


Storage shelves run the length of the salon, with a storage locker aft on the port and starboard sides. Additional storage found beneath and behind the settees.


Halogen lighting is found overhead along with three fixed windows, two opening hatches with retractable screens/shades and a dorade vent. Additional ventilation is provided by three opening ports w/curtains, with two fixed ports providing even more light.


NAV STATION:


The forward facing nav station is found on the starboard side of the main cabin, just forward of the head and features a chart table with lift top, curved bench seating and a chart light. The electrical panels are found at the nav station, along with a vhf radio, stereo system, battery charger control panel and a 120 vac outlet.


GALLEY:


The L shaped galley features a two burner stove with oven center mounted in the port side countertop. Three lockers with a shelf atop are found above the counter, along with a microwave oven and a 120 vac receptacle. A large top access freezer is found under the counter forward of the stove, while a front loading refrigerator is located under counter aft. A double stainless steel sink with hot and cold running water is mounted in a counter extending from the port side counter to midship. A storage locker and a locker housing a trash can are found under this counter.


AFT CABIN:


The cabin is found off the galley on the port side aft. It features cherry joinery, a teak and holly sole, and a queen berth. Upon entering there is a hanging locker with shelf atop on the port side. There is a cubby locker underneath and a 120 vac outlet above. This is followed by the berth, that extends under the cockpit. A shelf extends along the aft bulkhead, with a locker and pocket shelf extending along the forward bulkhead. Ventilation is provided by are two opening ports, an overhead hatch with retractable screen/shade, a fan and air conditioning. Two reading lamps are mounted on the port side with a halogen light found overhead. A fixed port light provides additional light to the cabin.


FORWARD CABIN:


Located forward of the main cabin, this cabin features cherry joinery, a teak and holly sole and a V-berth for two. Upon entering the cabin there is a hanging locker with shelf atop on the starboard side and a two shelf locker with shelf atop to port. Additional shelving runs around the berth, with two fixed ports on either side of the berth. There are two reading lamps, overhead lamp and a 120 vac outlet. Ventilation is provided by an opening overhead hatch with a retractable screen/shade, two fans and airconditioning.


HEAD:


Located on the starboard side aft, this very large head includes a separate shower stall with seat. Upon entering the manual marine toilet is found directly ahead, next to the forward bulkhead, where a mirror is mounted along with a fan. A utility locker is found behind the toilet, with an opening port above. Moving aft there is a sink with hot and cold running water, a mirrored medicine cabinet above and a locker below. The shower is located aft of the sink and features a bench, shower wand, towel hooks and shower curtain. There is an opening port, fixed port and an opening hatch overhead. Lighting is provided by two overhead halogen lights and an over sink lamp.


ENGINE COMPARTMENT:


The engine compartment is found under the cockpit companionway stairs. Forward access is provided by raising the stairs, aft access is provided underneath the aft cabin berth.

A native of Miami, Florida Jason grew up around boats and boating.
