After spending a thirty-year career in law enforcement, Scott retired in 2011 to live and travel full time aboard his Whitby ketch, Scherzo.  Scott and his wife, Paula, sailed extensively from Maine to Tobago until 2019 when they settled in St. Augustine, Florida.  

Scott comes from a lifetime of boating experience in everything from jonboats and kayaks to a series of thirty to forty-two foot sailboats, with an assortment of powerboats in between.  He holds a USCG OUPV Captains license, several SCUBA diving certifications, as well as a passion for fishing.
