Berret Racpoupeau designed a very successful and seaworthy boat capable of exhilarating bursts of speed, and decent cruising mileage, while remaining stable in all weather conditions. The raised helm station, comfortably seats 3 people so the helmsman is no longer isolated from the rest of the group.
This fine example has a substantial solar power component with Lithium Phosphate house batteries, and an auxiliary electric propulsion system that powers the boat silently at 3 - 4 knots. These are in addition to conventional Volvo diesel engines and a 10KVA Generator.
