Description

Did you say you wanted to have some FUN?!?

As the saying goes -- most boats radiate their intended use with only a glance. So take note -- the Trojan 440 Express is definitely intended for FAST AND FUN! And looking a little closer, you'll find a well-thought-out deck and cabin layout and excellent materials, components and craftsmanship.

Take note of the sleek design created by a lack of a bow pulpit, the anchor mounted through a fitting in the bow, and the windlass mounted below hatches on the deck. Notice the wealth of cleats, including two on the curve of the transom for close tie-offs making boarding easier on the molded-in swim platform. The transom garage is easily accessed and button-activated, usually used for storing personal watercraft. Access through the starboard side transom door and you'll see the U-shaped lounge to port, and refrigerator, ice-maker, and sink to starboard.

The helm is considered a bridgedeck, the most elevated of the boat’s seating areas. Double bench seating both starboard and port make travel comfortable and interesting.

This vessel includes a hardtop surrounded on all sides by canvas/eisenglass panels installed by the current owner, after market. It keeps the weather out yet let’s in plenty of light.

The cabin is accessed by a sliding glass companionway door. The spacious main salon can accommodate quite a crowd, with a large curved settee to starboard and the galley to port. You’ll immediately take note of the seven foot headroom and 15 foot beam – it would be hard to feel claustrophobic in here!

This vessel is loaded with amenities. She’s got two full heads and two staterooms, the master ensuite. The galley, is well equipped with a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, two burner stove double sink and lots of cupboard and counter space. There is a flat screen TV by the steps and tucked behind is a washer/dryer combo.

The master stateroom has a walk-around queen-size bed and the ensuite head has a separate well-sized stall shower with a built-in seat. The second head is to port behind the galley and is accessible from either the salon or the aft stateroom.

Back up on the aft deck, the engine room is accessed by three hatches. A ladder leads down between the twin diesels and is spaciously laid out for good access to maintenance points. The Caterpillar 420 HP 3126-TA’s have a cruise speed of around 27 mph and a top speed of around 30 mph. The Trojan 440 is nothing short of a fun and luxurious ride. She’ll race to your destination in comfort, where you’ll indulge in her super comfortable cabin. What more can you ask for?

CONDITION:

Engines and generator have been serviced and are in good working condition. In addition, generator was rebuilt. The (two) air conditioners are not working currently and may need either to be re-charged, or replaced. The washer/dryer is not draining and needs to either be fixed or replaced. Overall the seller reports the boat is running well.
