Description

The following is a summary of the yacht’s general arrangement. There are three double ensuite staterooms below for the owner's party amidship for 6 persons. Forward from the pilothouse starboard side is the entry stairs to the two forward crew cabins for 3 to 4 persons including the laundry and crew lounge. The main deck consists of a large covered and enclosed aft deck, spacious salon together with dining, an on-deck galley and the pilot house forward. The flying bridge and forward upper deck area has the helm centerline, a crescent shaped lounge starboard and a full-service bar to port. The interior cabinetry is honey color satin finish teak through­out. So necessary for extended cruising is storage and BLUE PEARL has abundant cabinets, lockers, and drawers. Full Details

MAIN SALON

A delightful area, it offers a cheerful atmosphere enhanced with large well-placed windows, it is very pleasant and keeps you in touch with the outside. There are 3 large windows on either side and aft are double hinged varnished teak doors plus two side windows. 

To starboard forward is a magnificent full-service bar with a granite top surrounded with teak cabinetry. Amenities include a sink, a built-in refrigerator and an ice maker. The cabinetry provides superb storage for glasses and related bar equipment. Adjacent are 3 stainless-steel swivel bar stools. Immediately aft is the built-in entertainment center with its Sonos Music System. The flooring is granite matching the bar top. 

Aft on the starboard side, is a crescent sofa upholstered in a white-on-white fabric; it is surrounded by teak cabinetry providing end tables with storage. An oval 4 wood compass rose design pedestal coffee table is part of the seating area. Opposite is the television which is encased in teak cabinetry when not in use and automatically elevated to viewing position by remote control. The Berber style carpeting is a white with a light beige accent. Additional furnishings include 2 occasional chairs upholstered in an off-white fabric. There are lighting controls, digital air-conditioning controls chrome and stainless hardware. Mini-blind window shades offer a variety of lighting options. 

From the main salon and forward is the central foyer circular stair that leads below to the owner's stateroom and above to the flying bridge and boat deck. Overhead is a circular sky light that dramatically enhances the interior space and lighting. The design is magnificent with its polished curved stainless steel railing. 

The galley is up a few steps and on the port side. The on-deck powder room with its Sealand vacuum flush freshwater head is accessed from the starboard side of the pilot house.



DINING

Configured as part of the main salon it is located immediately forward on the port side. Furnishings include a circular compass rose design table built from four different woods. There is a built-in upholstered crescent lounge and opposite are two upholstered wood frame chairs. The dining table easily seats 6 persons. The decor is neutral in theme and extremely pleasant. The dining area is a peaceful and comfortable setting that is easily convertible for alternative use.

Just aft of the dining area housed in built-in cabinetry is storage for crockery, serving pieces and china. Below the settee are drawers for additional storage.



MASTER CABIN

Located aft of amidships from the central foyer and just forward of the engine room it is separated with an effective sound deadening heavily insulated bulkhead. The teak cabinetry is beautifully accented with the custom fabrics. The decor is neutral and predominately earth tone colors. The Berber style carpeting is beige and the upholstered furnishings are covered with a striped fabric in tones of light gold and burnt orange with green highlights. The window shades are roman style with a stripped fabric to coordinate with the other fabrics. The aft bulkhead is mirrored highlighting the entire area. 

The master stateroom dimensions are approximately 22' wide and 11' 8" at the extremes with 6' 8" headroom. There is a queen size walk around bed offset aft and to starboard with storage drawers below. Either side has built-in end tables/nightstands with drawers. Below the bed is a massive storage area. Forward and to starboard is a built-in settee with a bookcase above and adjacent is the TV. A built-in crescent shaped desk/vanity is aft. Opening ports are on both sides providing light and excellent natural ventilation. The overhead is upholstered in an off-white vinyl material and has recessed lighting. It should be noted that there is exceptional very well-planned storage & safe built into all of the cabinetry. 

The master suite general arrangement has the en-suite bath forward to port. The bath amenities include His and Hers double sinks moulded into the Corian surface top vanity surrounded with numerous drawer and locker storage. Outboard is the large stall shower tiled in granite and fitted with a bench seat. The fixtures are chrome finished Grohe. There is excellent storage in cabinets and drawers. There is a heated towel rack. The WC is a Sealand vacuum flush freshwater system. The port light opens if desired. Immediately aft of the head is the sizable wardrobe and dressing area. Full size hanging wardrobes combined with generous drawer and locker storage make this ideal for extended cruising. From the wardrobe area aft is an emergency escape through a water-tight door into the engine room.

GUEST CABIN FORWARD TO PORT

This cabin has a fore and aft queen berth, an en-suite bath and a stall shower are aft. There is a wall mounted flat panel TV and a full height wardrobe and storage lockers. Cabinetry on either side of the bed includes night tables with drawer storage below and the reading lights are above. The window shades are Roman style beige fabric with tan accents matching the bed cover and padded wall surround accents. The port lights can be opened. 

The bath has a white Corian surface counter-top, granite floor and heated towel rack. Surrounding the vanity are mirrored medicine style cabinets and below a large locker and adjacent drawer storage. The WC is Sealand vacuum flush freshwater head. Aft is the large stall shower, tiled in granite. In addition, there is an opening port light. 

Below this stateroom is an easy access to the mid ship machinery area. Machinery access throughout the yacht is designed for ease of maintenance. Behind the painting on the forward wall is an es­cape hatch.

GUEST CABIN FORWARD TO STARBOARD

Located forward of amidship from the common entry foyer. There are wide twin lower berths separated with a built-in nightstand. Reading lights and the climate control are adjacent. The guest staterooms are essentially the same overall dimensions. There is exceptional storage in teak cabinetry and the large full-height wardrobe. Decor is principally medium blue fabrics including custom fitted bed covers, matching Roman style shades and padded surround wall accents. 

The en-suite bath is outboard aft and fitted with a Corian surface top vanity and chrome Grohe fixtures. The vanity is surrounded with mirrored medicine style cabinets and below is a large locker with adjacent drawer storage. The floor is granite and there is a heated towel bar. The WC is Sealand vacuum flush freshwater head. Shower is tiled in granite.

FLYBRIDGE AND BOAT DECK

Access is from the aft deck port side or from the central interior spiral stair to the boat deck. Stowed aft is the RIB tender and Cramm telescoping hydraulic davit. The davit is positioned such that the tender can be launched or retrieved from either side. Aft on the centreline is a large custom built-in Jacuzzi style spa. True to John Munford style aft of the of the Jacuzzi is a sun pad lounge with removable cushions and pillows with storage below. The entire boat deck and Jacuzzi area are covered with a versatile removable see-thru sun protector canopy that lets the sun in while limiting the dangerous UV rays There is additional Tropics UV protection provided by removable zip-in panels onto the original "see-thru" canopy for both the top and port, starboard and aft sections. This a perfect place to get a great tan and the canopy acts to absorb the UV rays increasing the recreational use of BLUE PEARL for all ages. The see-thru canopy also allows this area to function as an outdoor lounge. The crow’s nest atop the arch has a polished stainless ladder to the observation platform. Teak varnished handrails surround the entire deck area and are not only very handsome but add personnel safety. The decks are teak. The central atrium internal spiral stair has an easy access watertight door.

The upper forward deck/flying bridge area and helm are up 4-steps from the aft boat deck. The helm area is covered with an integral fiberglass hard top. The entire flying bridge area is enclosed with Strata glass panels with "U" zip windows which also have screen inserts. Varnished teak handrails surround the entire area. At the helm is a Sonos Music System. Aft port side is a full-service bar with a refrigerator along with 3 stainless steel pedestal swivel stools. Forward built-in is an electric Miele CS 1322 BG/3400-watt electric BBQ (2019) with storage below. Another portable propane BBQ is positioned forward of the Jacuzzi on the starboard side. On the starboard side is the crescent shaped lounge with a compass rose design pedestal table that easily accommodates 6 persons. Storage lockers are below the settee. 

The helm has 2 pedestal chairs, storage on both sides and the navigational aids placed for easy use. All the appropriate navigation systems required to operate BLUE PEARL are available on the flying bridge. The combination Strata Glass windows with interchangeable screens and 360° view ability are the primary reasons why Captains love to operate BLUE PEARL from the bridge. On the starboard side of the helm is a Plexiglas chart stowage locker. The flying bridge and boat deck areas are all built of aluminium with heavy duty lock­able doors and storage compartments. The entire upper deck and its amenities are engineered to be water-tight, low maintenance and highly durable

AFT DECK

A spacious area, which is covered by the boat deck and climate controlled. On both port and starboard, are curved built-in stairs, protected by weather resistant doors that lead to the integral swim platform and engine room. There are opposing built-in settees upholstered in dark blue fabric, both with storage below. Additional seating is provided with two folding varnished wood frame chairs. A varnished pedestal compass rose design table makes this area perfect for alfresco dining and relaxation. This delightful and usable area is fully air conditioned; though if desired, the side Barrett glass and aft Strataglass window enclosures can be opened for natural ventilation. On the starboard side forward is a built-in bar with storage, sink and a beverage refrigerator.

A port side stairway leads to the fly bridge and boat deck. Port and starboard heavy wing doors provide side deck access. The forward bulkhead is covered with varnished wood which includes the double entry doors to the salon together with four windows. With the hydraulic passarelle deployed the aft deck access is from the starboard side with a level access to the deck and walkway.

A water-tight door to the engine room is located on the port side deck. The primary engine room access is from the swim platform with a water-tight door while a secondary foul weather entry is from the salon. Excellent all weather access to the engine room, with attention paid to safety. Multiple phase and shore power lines are

easily setup via the swim platform.



SWIM PLATFORM

Integral with the hull, it is well protected. Removable railings for easy access and a freshwater shower. A removable stainless-steel ladder provides easy water access. The aft deck is very easily accessed from a stair on either side. This is an ideal area for mooring the tender and water sports.


LAZARETTE

From the swim platform this is the primary engine room entry. There is excellent steering gear accessibility to the double ram system and the related equipment. The Atlas shore power system is on the starboard side. The lazarette is a handy storage area and a great place for scuba and snorkel equipment, dive tanks, etc.


FOREDECK

Easy access there is a centerline walk thru the Portuguese bridge structure. Either side aft are built-in lounge/settees with stowage below. The deck area is painted non-skid surface. The very substantial dual anchor winch is easily accessed. Centerline is a crew quarters access hatch. The surrounding handrails are varnished teak.


CABIN DECK AND FOYER

Carpeting throughout the staterooms is identical. The overheads are upholstered with an off-white vinyl with recessed lighting and accented with teak surround cabinetry. 

Adjacent are two large storage areas one located under the spiral stairway and the other in the foyer. 

Aft is a primary electrical distribution center for easy access and access to machinery and storage area in bilge.



CREW QUARTERS, LOUNGE AND LAUNDRY

It is located forward with access from the starboard side of the pilot house. Aft to port is the captain's cabin with a double berth outboard and its ensuite bath with stall shower forward. There is a full height double hanging wardrobe, drawer storage, bookshelves, Sony Multi-system television NHS and safe. 

All the way forward is a double cabin with twin "V" berth arrangement and immediately aft on the starboard side is the ensuite bath with stall shower. There are two hanging lockers, cabinet storage below the berths and a Samsung flat screen television.

Aft to starboard is the crew lounge. Forward is a crescent shaped lounge with a built-in table and general storage. Decor fabrics are a medium blue with gold accents matching the Roman style shade. Adjacent is a small galley with storage. Equipment includes a Miele oven, Miele 2-burner cook top and a stainless-steel sink. Below are the built-in refrigerator and small freezer. The lounge area entertainment equipment includes a flat screen TV with built-in VHS and a separate DVD player. The Miele Novatronic washer and dryer are near by. 

Below the crew cabins is an enormous stowage area ideal for parts and general food stores accessed from a lift-up floor hatch. Extensive shelving surrounds the area and aft are 2 Miele upright freezers and a Sanyo refrigerator. This area also accesses the Cramm hydraulic bow thruster equipment.



CONSTRUCTION

GENERAL:

The yacht is a dark blue with a white deck house and superstructure. She is of a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Materials, plating reported as Lloyd's approved Ship Building Steel 42 (Grade A) factory blasted, and epoxy coated. Brief excerpts from the construction Scantling specification: Stem 6mm plate, keel 8mm plate, hull bottom first 1000mm both sides 8mm, followed by 6mm till 150mm over OWL followed by 5mm as side plating. Frames continuous from top of double bottom or floors to main sheer laid on transverse system. Deck plating 5mm. Double bottom tanks: fuel oil, fresh water, black water, grey water, lube and waste oil and sludge. Bilge keels are closed box construction of 8mm plate. Superstructure, "Triclad" welded between the steel deck and aluminium house. Aluminium materials are seawater resistant aluminium alloy. Wheelhouse 6mm plate, saloon 5mm plate and the deck 6mm plate, flying bridge exterior 5mm plate. Windows, 6 and 8mm thermopane hardened glass in recessed aluminium flanges with polished stainless-steel frames. Port lights with 12mm toughened glass hinged in hull side fitted with dead lights polished stainless steel frames and screens. Sound, vibration control and insulation in the builder specifications include all motors, pumps, blowers and similar equipment are installed on flexible mounts with hose connections on the piping system. Hydraulic piping system installed with flexible pipe clamps. Anti-drumming consists of a sandwich construction covering approximately 70% of the area with 2mm thick steel counter plates bedded in 2mm layer of Vibradamp antivibration

paste. Acoustic foam was used in the bulkheads and throughout the vessel.

ENGINE ROOM EQUIPMENT AND MAIN MACHINERY

GENERAL

The engine room is located aft it has three access entries. Interior access for use in foul weather conditions is from the main saloon aft on the port side. The primary entry is from swim platform and secondarily from the port side deck both with water-tight doors. The convenient entry doors genuinely make the engine room an easy place to work. Well planned and spacious it provides superb maintenance access; you can reach all machinery. There is excellent headroom throughout with open access to all equipment. The main engines are essentially walk-around with full access to the service areas. The fuel manifold is well-labelled and placed for easy viewing and operation. The emergency escape from the owner’s suite is forward of the port main engine with a dogged water tight door. 

Port side has a stainless steel wash basin. The main electrical distribution center is aft with exceptional access for easy viewing and monitoring of the systems.

PILOTHOUSE EQUIPMENT

The pilothouse is well positioned and engineered for both comfort and visibility along with excellent deck access. The forward helm has a comfortable Recaro-brand chair with dark blue leather upholstery and polished chrome pedestal base. The navigation and communication equipment is well placed for easy access. the principal helm has the navigation electronics housed in the surround cabinetry for easy viewing and protected access. Aft to port is a built-in dark blue leather upholstered "L" shaped settee together with a custom compass rose pedestal table created from four different woods. the settee is an ideal place for lounging or serious navigation work. 4 full size chart stowage drawers are below and forward under the port side helm area. port and starboard are weather-tight deck access doors. 

The overhead is upholstered with an off-white vinyl combined with teak cabinetry accents and recessed lighting. The area above the helm is black vinyl for reflection reduction at night. The forward angled windows offer excellent glare reduction, reduced heat transmission and foredeck visibility. The sole is traditional teak with holly accents. aft to starboard is the day head. 

Forward is a Portuguese-style bridge that has several watertight stowage lockers. A centerline access door leads to the foredeck. There are wing control stations both port and starboard. 

Electrical, 24vdc distribution panel for primary navigational lights and equipment is adjacent to the helm. Aft is a monitoring panel that includes the 24 vdc, both generators, shore power including remote operation of the generators, waste tanks and general ships alarms

DECK MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT

GENERAL:

The main deck is well protected from bow to stern with high bulwarks. The side decks and aft deck are teak and the fore deck painted non-skid. The side decks are sheltered and wide, affording easy passage. The high bulwarks are topped with varnished teak handrails for added protection. Easy access boarding is through either the port or starboard hinged doors in the bulwarks amidship, or aft from the starboard side passerelle, and from the integral swim platform. The foredeck has a built-in seat and stowage lockers. The anchor system is well placed for easy operation.

Located forward up 4-steps from the salon on the port side and just aft of the pilot house. A semi-circular design that is spacious and airy with generous counter/work areas. The counter tops and backsplash are finished in white Corian and the sole is the same granite used in the bar area, both practical and handsome. There is a window on the port side and the entire area is well lit for a pleasant atmosphere. Generous drawer and storage cabinets are located both below the counter as well as at eye level. All lockers have positive locking latches. Every chef on board BLUE PEARL has felt at home in the galley.

On the starboard side is the built-in dinette with its compass rose design oval top table built with four different woods. The leather upholstery is light beige in color. This is a perfect place for breakfast or light meal; like the rest of the main deck, it is bright and cheerful. A hinged door separates the pilot house from the dinette/galley.

James Nason has a deep-rooted passion for the sea and ships. Following this passion, James has logged tens of thousands of ocean miles both cruising and working on the oceans of the world. His experiences range from a 127-foot oceanographic research schooner in the Galapagos Islands to commercial fishing in West Africa, Central America and Canada. He has held a Master and Mate's license on ocean-going tugboats in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands.

James transitioned into yacht sales in 1981. During his long career in sales he has proven to be diversified in his knowledge of both power and sailing vessels and loyal to his clients' needs.


James believes that working for Fraser is the highlight of his career, and is honoured to be working with what he considers to be the best group of marine service professionals in the world.
